This town is 18 km away from the city of Mandya and has its own legendary importance. It is known that Pnadavas had been residing here during their pilgrimage. This majestic waterfall is at a distance of 44 km from the city of Mandya. This waterfall is located at the Shivasamudra where the Cauvery separates it into two streams after which it thunders down from the 160.68 meter of the rocky hill side. The Gaganachukki on the Western Branch of the river and the Barachukki Falls on the eastern side are a vision to behold during the monsoon months July till November. The Gaganachukki falls are also believed to be the spot of suicide of King Nandiraj in 16th century.
The Cauvery Fishing camp is located at a distance of 50 km from the city of Mandya. The camp is located at the banks of the Cauvery River. The natural sanctuary at Bhimeshwari between Shivasamudra and Medekatu across the downstream of thr river Cauvery is a frequently visited tourist spot. This is go to place for most of the people who enjoy fishing or our looking for a peaceful environment. Also it is a good spot to enjoy with our friends and family.
